Headphones to help you escape your surroundings

sennheiser hd280

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones were especially designed to provide utmost sound quality and isolation indoors. They are suited as professional studio headphones which contribute to isolation for monitoring tracks and comfort for long sessions in the studio. Outdoors in a live setting, they let you concentrate on your music without any noises or distraction.

Design

The most essential aspect of a recording studio headphone pair in terms of design is if it provides comfort even after long hours of usage. The Sennheiser HD280 Pro Headphones have widely spaced, soft ear cups so that if you are used to of wearing headphones for long hours, they seem to magically vanish and you will not even feel their presence over your ears. Their light weight and neodymium-magnet drivers add up to the comfort level. Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones are collapsible hence space saving to make their transportation easy. The cable is detachable and all its components are replacement in order to keep the equipment maintained.

Performance

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones has an impedance of 64 Ohms resulting in no distortion in sound and will not reach ear damaging volume levels. With up to 32dB sound attenuation, this pair can be used in noisy surroundings, live set ups and the DJ box. From various music sources like Digidesign Digi 003 recording interface, iPod or the iPhone 4S, the headphones will show no hint of crackling at even very high bass levels. The modern era’s rock, pop and hip hop sounds perfect on Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones. The bass thump mixes and heavy bass content added by most sound engineers and producers these days is handled flawlessly by these headphones and you can feel it even though its not booming.

Conclusion

At a reasonable rate of £115.00 the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones are the best buy and quite difficult to surpass in terms of quality and sound clarity.

I record with this set of phones and I l love them. the first thing I look for is direct sound. some thing that will give me the most direct sound with no effects or "clean up".

Love the sound but why the coiled cable? I use these for recording and now when I am laying down a guitar track I have a pound of coiled cable hanging off my neck. Awful Idea.

The Sennheiser HD 280 Pros also brought out the details in rock-and-roll CDs such as the White Stripes' Elephant. Oh boy, Jack White's buzz-saw guitar sounded gloriously distorted, and Meg White's heavyweight drumming kicked butt.

These in my opinion are ultimately better than "Beats by Dre" The sound is great.
