High priced but great music streaming from Sonos Connect

The Sonos Connect is a streaming music system for home theatres or stereo sound. The company has simplified the networking and installation of an audio system by providing wireless devices without compromising the sound results. The Sonos Connect enables you to easily control and enhance the out of your sound system.

Sonos Connect resembles the Connect:Amp, but is smaller in size and available in an ultra-mod white design. It is around 3” tall and 5.5” wide, made from polycarbonate which gives it durability. It has volume controls and a mute button on the front panel like its bigger version Connect:Amp had,  but does not feature  a turn on/off button as Sonos products are designed to remain on standby all the time. Sonos Connect features a 2-port Ethernet switch for Internet connectivity and an RCA analogue line in connection for connecting to an external source without any fuss. Moreover it can connect wirelessly to stream music through your speakers or other Sonos products.

As many users get confused, Sonos Connect basically delivers line level input to other speakers which may or may not be a Sonos product. The Connect itself does not produce any sound but only enhances it. It is available for £279 which many users might find expensive.

The Sonos app provides a user friendly interface to control any Sonos device. The app takes the user through the easy installation process step by step and then allows the user to control the sound system. The app also combines all the music from different radio channels and music subscription providers like Amazon Cloud Player, Spotify, Pandora, MOG and iTunes to be easily streamed from PCs and smart phones.  However if you do not have a high speed Internet connection, online streaming might be slow and ruin your music experience.

This tiny player works with almost any existing audio system
Like Apple with iOS7, upgrades that break things will come along, but unlike Apple, all the Sonos upgrades are mandatory.
After already setting up a couple of Play 5’s and a Bridge the addition of the ZP90 was a logical addition.
I now have Sonos systems all over my house. Just love it. Brilliant sound quality and ease of use is unbelievable. We have always enjoyed our music but this has more than doubled the amount of time we are enjoying music.
