Saosin release Racing Toward A Red Light video
Post-hardcore survivors Saosin recently released a clip for Racing Toward A Red Light, the second song from their upcoming album Along The Shadow.
Along The Shadow will drop on May 20, and will be the first release to feature frontman Anthony Green since the band set the scene alight all the way back in 2003’s with the Translating the Name EP.
Saosin show heavier side with Racing Toward A Red Light
Racing Toward A Red Light is the hardest hitting song Saosin have ever released. It opens with a nasty, discordant riff before heading into a verse led by Green’s signature high-register screams. Things move into more familiar Saosin territory with the chorus, where the clean vocals and Beau Burchell’s melodic guitar playing take the lead.
The track follows up first single The Silver String, which was a more melodic and arguably more catchy affair. The more experimental vibe of the song drew comparisons to Green’s other project Circa Survive, although the rhythm guitar and drumming is definitely Saosin all over.
Burchell shows off studio, live rig
Burchell has been showing off some gear porn on his Instagram recently, displaying his effects pedal line-up as well as his Axe-Fx-powered touring rig.

New Saosin touring lead guitarist Phil Sgrosso is fitting in well with the group in between commitments with Wovenwar. The former As I Lay Dying member signed up following the departure of long-time shredder and Translating the Name alumnus Justin Shekoski, who is now playing with The Used. Burchell commented:
“Mad props to the @philsgrosso fan club members at these @saosinofficial shows. #teamphil #saosin I love Phil.”
Saosin will play a 20-date tour after the release of Along The Shadow, beginning with a single date in London on April 30 followed by shows throughout the US in June.
