SlipKnot to headline KnotFest 2014
Knotfest, invented by the masked members of Slipknot for the fans who are into the world of heavy metal. This year it will be held for three days between October 24 and 26 at San Manuel Amphitheater and Campgrounds of San Bernardino in California.
A total of 60 bands will be giving their performance at the fest. The news has come that it is none other than Slipknot to headline Knotfest this year. Some popular performing bands include Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat, Of Mice and men, Anthrax and Carcass whom of which will be playing at Knotfest.
Playing two different sets over two nights at one location is a new experience in the history of this band.
Knotfest will be taking place over the weekend starting on Friday the 24th. Since, it is being held on camping ground, those who wish to camp for three days have the chance to do so. The campers and VIP ticket holders have access to a Friday night special VIP pre-party bash along with a Friday night special night show with a performance from Suicide Silence, The black Dahlia and Butcher babies. These campers and VIP ticket holders would also get a chance to have an early preview of the festival and visit the Slipknot museum. The pre-party bash will have music played by Sid, who is Slipknot’s DJ. Non-VIP ticket holders will also get something; a digital copy of Slipknot’s upcoming album. There is no date published as to when the new album will be available, but it seems that the attendees would be the people to hear it first.
Tickets can be bought from the official Knotfest website. Sale of tickets has already started since July 9. There will also be another event in Tokyo, Japan on October 15-16; a sister of the main event in California.
