Ticketmaster offers free tickets to Slipknot, Blink 182, The Cure & more
Ticketmaster users recently became eligible for nearly $400 million worth of free tickets, after the company were found to have imposed deceptive fees on users. The ticketing giant has now released a list of 433 gigs which fans can book free tickets for. They are taking place from today to October 29, and some big names are featured.
Huge acts listed on Ticketmaster free ticket site
Fans initially speculated that due to the vague terms Ticketmaster offered to fans, the free gigs would be rubbish. However, eligible fans can pick up free tickets to US shows by big acts like Slipknot, Panic! at the Disco, Gwen Stefani, Blink 182, Prophets of Rage, The Cure, Bob Dylan, Brand New and Mumford and Sons. Ticketmaster are also offering free tickets to shows like Peter Frampton, Pitbull, 311, Duran Duran and Disturbed, so it seems fans weren’t completely wrong in their predictions.
Technical issues hamper ticket settlement
Users have reported that technical issues have already hit the free ticket listing site. It wouldn’t load up for me in Firefox although it fared better in Chrome. Fans have stated that their voucher codes are not being accepted when booking the tickets.
Those eligible for free tickets are fans who used the online Ticketmaster service from between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013. Users were notified by email although some have found ticket codes on their account even when they weren’t notified via email.
