RiotUSA, the producer and songwriter responsible for some of Ice Spice’s most recognized hits, has officially signed a global publishing agreement with Warner Chappell Music. This move marks a major step forward in the young producer’s rapidly accelerating career.
Riot has built a strong reputation over the past year, earning five placements on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to his work with Ice Spice. Among his recent standout projects is “Barbie World,” a track by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice that creatively samples Aqua’s classic of the same name. The song is featured on the official soundtrack for the “Barbie” movie and includes a music video release. It’s also the second high-profile collaboration between the two rappers produced by Riot, following the success of “Princess Diana (Remix),” which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Commenting on the new partnership, Riot shared his enthusiasm for the direction Warner Chappell is taking. “They showed me a lot of respect and made me feel excited about building something meaningful,” he said. “Ryan Press truly understands my creative goals and what I’m aiming for. I’ve seen what he’s done for others, and I’m confident he’ll help me grow. My goal is to inspire the next generation of creatives, and I believe Warner Chappell can help make that happen.”
Ryan Press, President of North America at Warner Chappell Music, also expressed confidence in Riot’s trajectory. “He’s become one of the most talked-about producers emerging from New York’s vibrant hip-hop scene,” said Press. “His chemistry with Ice Spice is undeniable, and we’re lucky to be part of his journey. I’ve worked with a lot of top producers early in their careers, and I can already see Riot carving out his place as one of the greats of his generation.”
James Rosemond Jr., CEO of Mastermind Artists and manager to both Riot and Ice Spice, added that this was the right moment for a strategic publishing partner. “After a string of Billboard successes and radio airplay, we knew Riot needed a team to support him in licensing, sync, and global collection,” he said. “Ryan Press not only understood Riot’s vision but valued it. This deal with Warner Chappell will boost his presence even further in a competitive market.”
